Novena to the Holy Spirit

We make a novena on the Holy Spirit when we are preoccupied with a significant question, when we have to make a decision so that we choose the right thing in the light of the Holy Spirit.
We pray for nine days for the Spirit of God when our soul is weak and needs his invigorating power. In a wider apostolic spirit we include all people in our petitions for the fullness of grace of the divine Spirit.
We also take the booklet to hand when Pentecost is approaching and we prepare our souls for the coming of the Holy Spirit.
This booklet is arranged in such a way that it teaches us to combine prayer and our own efforts for the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The readings illuminate the nature and work of the individual gifts of the Holy Spirit. Therefore the reading should be considered. The prayers are taken from the rich prayer treasure of the Church, so that we pray in the Spirit of our Mother. The leading thought, the practice and the thrusting prayer accompany us through the day.
